(You have to wonder who else was involved. We’ll never know. The wagons are circled.)
THE lodger jailed over Baby P’s death has been released from prison less than halfway through a six-year sentence.
Jason Owen, 39, was jailed for causing or allowing the 17-monthold tot’s brutal death in 2007 but was freed yesterday.
His release came just two days after the fourth anniversary of the child’s death at the hands of mother Tracey Connelly, her boyfriend Steven Barker and his brother, Owen, in north London.
Connelly was ordered to be held indefinitely until no longer deemed to be a risk to children, with a minimum of five years, for causing or allowing her child’s death. Barker got 12 years for his role and life for the rape of a two-yearold girl.
But brother Owen, from Bromley, Kent, has been released at the halfway point of his six-year jail term, taking into account the 289 days he spent on remand.
