Economist Cheers: Asian Family Is Being Destroyed

August 29, 2011

More proof, btw, that the overpopulation scare is a hoax, even in the Orient. (birth rate of 2.1 is considered a stable population)

The decline of Asian marriage

“The flight from marriage in Asia is thus the result of the greater freedom that women enjoy these days, which is to be celebrated. But it is also creating social problems. Compared with the West, Asian countries have invested less in pensions and other forms of social protection, on the assumption that the family will look after ageing or ill relatives. That can no longer be taken for granted. The decline of marriage is also contributing to the collapse in the birth rate. Fertility in East Asia has fallen from 5.3 children per woman in the late 1960s to 1.6 now. In countries with the lowest marriage rates, the fertility rate is nearer 1.0. That is beginning to cause huge demographic problems, as populations age with startling speed. And there are other, less obvious issues. Marriage socialises men: it is associated with lower levels of testosterone and less criminal behaviour. Less marriage might mean more crime.

Can marriage be revived in Asia? Maybe, if expectations of those roles of both sexes change; but shifting traditional attitudes is hard. Governments cannot legislate away popular prejudices. They can, though, encourage change. Relaxing divorce laws might, paradoxically, boost marriage. Women who now steer clear of wedlock might be more willing to tie the knot if they know it can be untied—not just because they can get out of the marriage if it doesn’t work, but also because their freedom to leave might keep their husbands on their toes. Family law should give divorced women a more generous share of the couple’s assets. Governments should also legislate to get employers to offer both maternal and paternal leave, and provide or subsidise child care. If taking on such expenses helped promote family life, it might reduce the burden on the state of looking after the old.

Asian governments have long taken the view that the superiority of their family life was one of their big advantages over the West. That confidence is no longer warranted. They need to wake up to the huge social changes happening in their countries and think about how to cope with the consequences.”

If they know it can be untied“?

I thought a marriage was supposed to be for life? Why else would you bother?

Huh, maybe it’s just me and my oldthink…

Sometimes it’s good to take a look at globalist rags like the Economist or Foreign Affairs just to remind yourself who the bad guys are. Listen to their tone, ordering the whole world around. Who do they think they are? They are delighted, yeesssss, the feminist Asian revolution is arriving, soon they will have all the Asian women having sex with strangers and abortions all day long and trained to marry and divorce good/gullible men to steal their assets and give them to the state who then reward the gold diggers with a good ‘cut’ via the rigged courts. Er sorry I mean “soon Asian women will be empowered”.

Oh yes dear readers, feminism is a male ideology invented by globalist males (and pushed on the public by women like Gloria Steinem who was on the CIA payroll) to destroy all males other than themselves, using naive women as a proxy. You’ll get ‘liberation’ like anyone in a Che Guevara shirt will get liberation. Utter enslavement. You notice now it takes two adults working to support a family compared to one adult 50 years ago, here in the west. So now liberated women have no choice but to work it seems. ‘Cause we all have to pay off trillions of fictional debt to private banks!!

Now that’s a good comment btw:

“Ah, another Economist article attacking Asian society and referring to a supposedly impending catastrophe there. I must admit I was missing this type of articles. Look, I am from Spain, and the marriage age is also going up here, as is in the rest of Southern Europe. You could have written an article about it, but instead you choose to attack our economies week in and week out. When it comes to Asia, you cannot attack their economies, so you focus on their supposed social ills. Well, except when it comes to Japan. Then you attack both its economy and supposed social ills. We got it. You do not like Asia’s societal organisation and you do not like Southern Europe’s economies. And you do not like Japan. We apologize for not being as liberal as that model country, the UK. Now, please, could you leave us alone? Thanks.”

We know who the terrorists are.

few people seem to notice the english always lashing out at everyone telling them what to do. just last week they were complaining how much the house negress michello was looting from the crowns pantry. it amazes me that so few people notice this and that more people are not tired of the english and their evil banking cousins. the lid would come off the pot if people could get it through their MI6 programming that the english are not only hebraics, but their society is completely talmudic.

Among the WNs they love the quote from some film, where the WASP is asked; the Irish have this, the Italians have that, what do you have? And the WASP says, “We have America. The rest of you are only visiting.” Or something like that.

It’s their planet, you just happen to be on it goys!!
