“This is an old game. The Anglosphere power elite – a group of impossibly wealthy families that controls the world’s central banks – is evidently and obviously responsible for much of what has gone wrong. But as the Euro project continues its decline, we will no doubt find blame is being laid elsewhere … on highly placed functionaries. Of course, it’s important, nonetheless, and a contribution to how things work. So let’s review them before returning to our main thesis.
The first example is the Financial Times. Oborne and Weaver state that something went wrong with this prestigious mainstream newspaper about 25 years ago when it was captured by a “clique of left-wing journalists.” As a result, the FT “has been wrong on every single major economic judgment over the past quarter century.”
The biggest error was the support of the EU project itself, support that Oborne and Weaver call “religious.” They cite the paper’s Lex column, circa January 2001, as an example of how wrongheaded the paper could be. “With Greece now trading in euros, few will mourn the death of the drachma. Membership of the eurozone offers the prospect of long-term economic stability.”
The paper also attacked euro-skeptics directly, claiming that those who differed with the paper were “immature.” When the euro and the EU began to become undone in 2008, and countries like Ireland were suddenly exposed as failing, the FT continued its defense of the union. “European monetary union is a bumble bee that has taken flight,” asserted the newspaper’s leader column. “However improbable the celestial design, it has succeeded in real life.”

If there is to be a movement aimed at holding people responsible for the euro disaster, I would hope for once that it would at least explain more fully how the pyramid of leadership actually works. The people at the very top are responsible for the ongoing economic crisis, just as in the 1930s the central banks they set up crashed the world’s economy. At the time, the blame was shifted away from central banks and their controllers and toward the securities industry (Wall Street, etc.).
Somebody will be made to pay, but it won’t be the real elites, the impossibly wealthy central banking families. They never seem to get blamed.”

Yesterday Mr Banda wept as he conceded defeat to the man who once served as one of his ministers.
He said Zambians must unite following the election.
‘Zambia must not go backward,’ he said. ‘We must all face the future and go forward as one nation.’
Political commentators have raised concerns that Mr Sata’s hostility towards China might have a negative impact on Zambia’s economy.
The country’s currency has already devalued in recent days in anticipation of a victory for Mr Sata.
Another cause for international concern has been the new president’s support for Robert Mugabe’s ruinous rule of Zimbabwe and decade-long land grab.
According to the United Nations, 70 per cent of Zambia’s 13million population live in poverty, and the average annual wage is £255.
Mr Sata’s swearing-in makes Zambia one of the few countries in Africa to have had two democratic transitions of power since gaining independence from colonial powers in the 20th century.”

The fog of war has descended so who knows. But that makes a lot more sense than what we see on BBC/Sky/ITN. I think these ‘rebels’ are too divided to care about conquering the whole country. I expect NATO isn’t really concerned about that either, as long as they have the oil and have a new Kosovo style base for their al-mi6ciamossad-ya terrorists. Libya is a big country and reputedly the rebels only come from a small region and it seems they can’t beat Gaddafi’s forces without NATO backing them up. Which means NATO can just threaten to turn off the air strikes/spec-ops at any time, which means the NTC is p-i-m-p-‘d.
Iran ‘in talks’ with Russia over new nuclear sites

Iran is in talks with Russia to build new nuclear facilities, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said on Thursday.
“We are in talks with Russia on construction of new nuclear power stations,” Ahmadinejad told the Russia Today TV channel.
Iran may accept an offer from any other country willing to cooperate, he said.
Ahmadinejad was speaking just two weeks after the Bushehr nuclear power station, Iran’s first such plant, was connected to the national grid.
The Russian-built facility began operating at a low level in May.
Earlier this month, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) said it was “increasingly concerned” that Iran may also be working on a nuclear warhead. IAEA chief Yukiya Amano pledged to publish new information to back up the statement.
